Dr. Melenie Lankau is Senior Manager, Learning & Development Field Operations with Chick-fil-A, Inc. in Atlanta. She joined Chick-fil-A in 2016 as a full-time internal consultant in field operations after providing consulting services to the company for the previous 10 years. In her current role, she serves on the consulting services strategy team and is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of consulting practices that support the growth of operators and their businesses throughout the U.S.
Before joining Chick-fil-A, Dr. Lankau was an Associate Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at Wake Forest University’s School of Business for six years. In her tenure at Wake, she was appointed as the first Senior Associate Dean of Diversity and Inclusion for the School of Business. In this role, she worked with the leadership of the school to develop a strategy focused on diversity enrichment and inclusiveness, providing direction and support to enhance faculty and staff recruiting, retention, and development efforts.
Dr. Lankau received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, her MBA in Management and her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. She has been married for 23 years to her husband, Charles Lankau, and resides in Peachtree City, Georgia. They are the parents of three children.
